Change Starts with Me

All this year we have been learning how to be respectful, stand up for each other and fill each others' buckets (as well as our own!). Today we made a video about some of the things we learned.

What was your most memorable part of Project Cornerstone/Expect Respect/ABC/Non Name Calling? Please explain why!

  1. The most memorial thing that happened in no name calling week is when Project Cornerstone gathered people from Cisco and the volunteers taught us these things about no bulling. They made us act ought when there is a time someone is getting bullied. But the best part in my opinion is when we made our one skit and presented it to the class.

  2. My most memorable part of ABC was when we made those flowers that we wrote what we were good at and what made us happy they also had a lollipop in the center of the flower. I liked it because we could eat the lollipop in the end.
My most memorable part of Non Name Calling was when we did the skits and got those Cisco flashlights! I liked this a lot because it was different to do skits about bullying and getting the flashlights was cool because we could use it to find your way in the dark.

  4. My most memerible experiance in project cornerstone was listening to the ABC readers read the projet conerstone books because it reminds me of when I was younger and I got read to. It was also interesting lesrning about the ways you could help stop a bully, help the person who is getting bullied and much more. Since the first book we read, I have learned lots on how you can do something to stop that bully.

  7. My favorite part of ABC was when we read Chrysanthemum. I thought it was a very special book and taught a good lesson. The lesson I thought was important was even though you have a long name doesn't mean it is not beautiful.I loved having ABC come into our classroom.

  8. My most memorable part of Project Cornerstone/Expect Respect/ABC/Non Name Calling was the book "The Recess Queen" because I thought that it sent a very important message. I also thought that the little clip that Mrs. Smith showed of the girl leading a smaller girl and asking others to help beat her up was shocking. S.Z.A

  9. The most memorable/favorite part was Non Name Calling because they kept us busy and it was really fun and still gave the point out of what their trying to tell you. To me it was really fun, and still teaches you at the same time.

  11. I loved the making the skit/poster/musical during the no name calling. I loved it because it was the one activity out of all the "be nice programs" where you got to actually choose what to do rather than you don't get a choice.

  12. I think that i liked the program project conner stone the best. What it does is it helps children that are bulling people learn to stop and learn to how to help somebody if they are getting bullied and most importantly, teach kids that are getting bullied put a stop to it.I liked project conner stone a lot because they really help with problems with bullying. without them helping me my friend would have not said something to help my situation and I would still be getting bulled every day.
One part of project conner stone is called ABC reading. ABC reading is when the teacher chooses one or two parents from the class to come in about every month and read a book related to bullying and talk about it and try to figure out how to fix the problem from the book. After doing that they do a project related to that book and bullying. finally, they talk about the saying from the book. each book has a saying that goes along with the book that will help kids with bullying problems.
another part of project conner stone is called expect respect and expect respect is a group of people that meat about four or five times a year and play games and talk about things related to bullying and try to make our school a non bullying school.I would like to thank everybody that helped with project conner stone, ABC reading or expect respect because you really made our school a better place. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. My most memorable moment in no name calling week was making everyone laugh while performing our skit to the class. We didn't write the script to be funny, but turns out it was halairious to most of the students. It always makes you happy when fill someones else's bucket. and that's just what did. It was the happiest day of my life. I even talk about it today.

  14. My most memorable part of Non Name Calling(NNC) was how we got to perform skits that teach us valuable life lessons and make up an entry for a contest. We got to make a picture, poster, skit, song, a musical skit, and more. I really hope we get to do this again next year!

  16. My most part of learning about respect with abc etc. is no name calling week. I really liked how they taught us. It was a different way then abc or project cornerstone, but the activities to prevent bulling was more understandable. I enjoyed no name calling week and I hope the whole school can too!
