The Black Cave - Island of the Blue Dolphins - Chapter 20
Today we read about Karana and Rontu's trip into the Black Cave. What do you think the Black Cave was? Why was it there? Think of any place you know of that is similar in any way and describe it. Karana's Name - Chapter 18 IBD
In Chapter 18, Karana names her bird a name she wishes she had been given, Lurai. If you hadn't been given your name, what would you like to have been named and why? Remember to answer completely (ex. If I didn't have my name, I would like to have the name Alexandra because I think it is a pretty name and it comes from Alexander, which means defender of man, in Greek)and please proofread your answer! Welcome to Room 23's Literature Blog. This blog will introduce students to Web 2.0 tools to interact and collaborate in the digital world. To enrich their understanding of literature, we will be using this blog to pose questions and discussions about novels, famous quotes and possibly other curricular areas as the year progresses.
Please use this only for school-related communication. This is not a chat room or a Facebook social networking page. Keep in mind that everything you write here can be seen by your classmates and teacher. Please do not post anything on this blog that you wouldn’t say or write in our classroom.
